Nottingham will begin with a quick registration, before moving into the classroom to begin the theory.
After a discussion with the instructor and a video brief, you'll
move to the practice mats for a practical session in where to tuck
your head and limbs throughout the jump - before donning the safety
gear and making your way to the runway to get airborne! The
instructor will strap your back to his chest and you'll take a seat
in the Cessna Grand Caravan Turbine, before the first instructor
opens the hatch and begins the skydiving at 14,000ft! When it's
your turn, you'll shuffle up to the door, dangle your legs over the
surreal landscape - and roll forward to begin 50 seconds of
euphoric ecstasy as you descend 8,000ft in 50 seconds - at a speed
of around 120mph! The instructor will then open the parachute at
around 5,000ft and you'll enjoy a gentle 6-7 minutes of open
canopied parachuting back to terra firma.
Once landed, you'll
remove the safety gear and be free to go home with an irremovable
grin from ear to ear! You'll be presented with a certificate to
commemorate the day you crossed off the most extreme activity off
your bucket list.
