Supercar Experience Days: Drive a Porsche 911 for 3 laps to experience the
ultimate in peak-performance and super-car style.
This Porsche driving
experience is one for the most sophisticated of petrol heads - the
911 is widely regarded as the epitome of luxury sports cars.
Its style is instantly recognisable and has stood the test of time,
having changed little since its 1963 launch.
And its power? Well,
we could go on about its 3 litre flat-6 engine, its 320bhp
rear-wheel driving, its precision handling and incredible balance -
but it's really something that is only understood from the drivers
seat.
Tracks are in Wigan, Leicestershire, Wiltshire, Surrey and Bicester - well-maintained and with a number of
different track options, depending on driver ability.
A fast main
straight allows for some pedal-to-the-metal fun, and there are
chicane and corner complexes to let drivers really put the
Porsche's handling to the test.
After arriving at the centre (at least 15
minutes early please!) you will be welcomed and registered.
You
will be offered tea or coffee, and will then attend a 'classroom'
style briefing, where the instructor will cover safety issues and
driving techniques.
Next up is a circuit tour, where you are taken
around the track by a dedicated instructor so that you can
familiarise yourself with the circuit and know what to expect when
you are the one behind the wheel!
After this, it's your chance.
Get in the driver's seat and tear
your way around 3 miles of superb
track, getting a proper idea of what these supercars are capable
of.
Once you have driven your laps, you will be debriefed and
receive a commemorative certificate - a little memento to mark your
marvellous day!
