Outdoor Experience Days: This outdoor art experience day for ages 11 - 18 is the perfect way for juniors to explore their artistic skills! Brush up on your drawing ability during this guided art walk through Breamish and Ingram Valley in Northumberland National Park.
Led by an experienced walking guide and a professional wildlife artist, it’s a chance to be inspired and get creative in the great outdoors! The Arty Footsteps experience is part of the English National Park Experience Collection, dedicated to showcasing the best of English National Parks to tourists and residents alike.
Tours depart from Ingram village, where you’ll meet your guides and collect an artistic goodie bag containing a sketchpad, graphite and watercolour pencils, a pencil sharpener and eraser—all yours to keep when the walk concludes! You’ll then follow Patrick, a qualified walking guide with over a 15 years’ professional experience, and wildlife artist Jane on a gentle stroll along the valley towards the Brough Law Hillfort.
Along the way, you’ll pause to take in and capture the natural beauty that surrounds you—from the rugged landscape and big sky above, to the delicate patterns of lichen growing on a branch.
Your guides will be on hand to offer encouragement, insight and advice throughout, as you approach the former Iron Age settlement.
Here, you’ll enjoy more breathtaking views and a picnic lunch of local Northumberland produce, before returning to Ingram with loads of new sketches to share with friends and family.
The Northumberland National Park Art Walk is suitable for all abilities, and Experience Days vouchers make unique gifts for budding artists and nature lovers.
If you know someone with an eye for beauty, why not treat them today!
