swashbuckling four-hour adventure off Dorset’s scenic Jurassic
Coast.
Trips depart from Portland Marina and head east towards Weymouth
Bay, Osmington Mills, Ringstead Ledge and one of the region’s most
photographed and iconic landmarks, Durdle Door.
Built by the Dutch
in 1930 and originally used to transport cargo between Amsterdam
and its North Sea neighbours, Gaff Cutter is an impressive
steel-hulled tall ship – the perfect vessel for a day’s fun on the
open water! During the voyage, you’ll be encouraged to try your
hands at sailing – learning the ropes, so to speak, as you weigh
anchor, hoist the main sail and perhaps even take the helm.
Then
again, if you’d prefer to sit back and enjoy the ride, your
experienced skipper and crew will happily take over duties on deck.
Together, you’ll glide over the waves before anchoring at a unique
picnic spot – so don’t forget to bring a packed lunch!
